About Dr. Chou

Dr. Chou grew up in Vancouver, and earned her B.S. in Biological Sciences at the University of British Columbia. She then pursued her Doctorate of Optometry at the prestigious UC Berkeley School of Optometry, where she was awarded scholarships for clinical excellence and graduated with honors.  

In addition to the UC Berkeley Eye Center, Dr. Chou has completed externships with a strong emphasis in ocular disease at the Southern Oregon VA Rehabilitation Center, the Portland VA Medical Center, the UC Santa Cruz Health Center, and the UCSF-John Muir Berkeley Outpatient Clinic. Dr. Chou is also passionate about community outreach and has volunteered at various schools throughout the East Bay to provide vision screenings for pre-K and elementary school children. 

Dr. Chou is a member of the California Optometric Association and is licensed to practice the highest level of optometry, which includes the use of diagnostic and therapeutic pharmaceutical agents, the treatment and management of glaucoma, and lacrimal dilation and irrigation.
