MEET OUR OPTOMETRISTS
FRANK SCOLINOS, O.D.
Dr. Scolinos obtained his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from Cal Poly Pomona and is a graduate of the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. He completed a research fellowship at the University of Houston College of Optometry.
Dr. Scolinos established Inglewood Optometric Center in 1992. He is a member of the California Optometric Association, the South Bay Optometric Society, and the American Optometric Association. He has conducted clinical research studies for Bausch and Lomb, Cooper Vision, Ciba Vision, Inspire Pharmaceuticals, and Alcon Pharmaceuticals. He has been a consultant for multiple ophthalmic companies and has served on the Peer Review and Quality Assurance Committees of Cambridge Vision, Superior Vision Services, and PacifiCare Vision.
Dr. Scolinos is certified to treat glaucoma and implements the latest technology available for ophthalmic and contact lenses.
CAROLINA AGUERO, O.D.
Dr. Aguero is a graduate of the Southern California College of Optometry. She has been with Inglewood Optometric Center since 1997. She is currently on the board of the Los Angeles County Optometric Society and is a member of both the American Optometric Association and the California Optometric Association. Dr. Aguero has also performed clinical studies for Alcon Pharmaceuticals, Bausch & Lomb, and Cooper Vision.
Dr. Aguero is fluent in Spanish. Her medical focus is on primary care optometry, contact lenses, and low vision for the partially sighted. She is certified to treat glaucoma and ocular disease.
MAE LAE LOUIE, O.D.
Dr. Louie has been with Inglewood Optometric Center since 2006. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of California, Riverside and graduated from the New England College of Optometry in Boston. She is a current member of the California Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. She has also served as President of the Los Angeles County Optometric Society and continues to be very active in the optometric association.
Dr. Louie provides primary eye care optometry and contact lens fittings, including specialty lenses for keratoconus. She is certified to treat glaucoma and ocular disease.
CHRISTINE GIRGIS, O.D.
Dr. Girgis earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Irvine and graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. She joined Inglewood Optometric Center in 2015. She is a member of the California Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. She completed clinical training in several locations across the United States. Dr. Girgis diagnoses and manages various ocular diseases including cataracts, retinal diseases, glaucoma, and pre/post-operative care management for procedures related to all of these conditions and LASIK. She has enjoyed traveling for a medical mission to Bolivia, providing optometric care to underprivileged populations.

Office Manager / ABO Certified Optician
Jose is a graduate of the American Career College and has worked at Inglewood Optometric Center since 1996. He has taught optics at American Career College and has a profound knowledge of optical lens design. Jose exhibits exceptional customer service skills and is here to consult with you on your eyewear needs.
Lillian has been “Inglewood’s Optician” since 1977. She joined Inglewood Optometric Center in 1998 and is beloved by all patients and staff. Lillian specializes in finding the right eyeglass frame for each patient. She enjoys working with Cazal and Caviar frames to provide the elegant look that you deserve!
Patient Relations / Receptionist
Tina has been working at Inglewood Optometric Center since 2005. With her charm and welcoming personality, she sets the stage for your eye care experience. Tina started as a patient of Inglewood Optometric Center and enjoyed her experience so much she joined our team.
Tina loves building new relationships with patients and maintaining those that have already been established. She takes great pride in the opportunity to turn an ordinary visit to the eye doctor into an experience that feels like you’re going to visit friends and family.
Carlos has been working at Inglewood Optometric Center since 2000. He graduated from the American Career College and enjoys working with sophisticated lab equipment so patients can receive their custom prescription eyeglasses promptly and accurately.
Front Office Manager
Miriam has been working with Dr. Scolinos for 7 years. Currently she works as the Medical Biller. She also helps out in other aspects of the office such as assisting in pre-exams, front office work, and optician’s work. She loves helping people and especially enjoys the opportunity to serve the community.
Jackie has been at Inglewood Optometric Center since 2013. She prepares patients for vision examination by conducting visual field tests, measuring ocular and blood pressure, and taking retinal images with Optomap. Jackie strives for each patient to experience a relaxed and enjoyable visit.
Maria started working at Inglewood Optometric Center in 2011. She enjoys working with state-of-the-art pre-testing equipment and helps patients navigate through their office visit. She enjoys making your visit as pleasant and enjoyable as possible.
Marilyn joined our team in early 2017. She brings experience in patient relations and customer service. Marilyn’s delightful personality sets the stage for a pleasant eye care visit.
